    Seem pretty unfair to leave Paul Whelen in jail, who has done nothing wrong and been there a lot longer than she was, and she admitted she broke their laws.
    A couple stories I read said Russia refused to include him in any deal.

    I am going to dip into the Qanon pool. I finally began to wonder if the arrest of Griner was not part of a maskirovka op to get the arms dealer out, make Biden look "good", and perhaps make a few bucks (OK, a lot of bucks) for Griner while they were at it. This would give back the Russians their number man for getting the armaments they need.

    That had no bearing on the Russians convicting him of spying. The U.S. State Deptartment’s position was that his Russian conviction was a fabrication.
    Yeah, I agree that getting arrested in Russia and getting convicted in a court martial are not related. However, him getting convicted in a court martial pretty well proves he is a criminal and therefore not worth a squirt of piss.
