I have been lurking for quite a while, and realized that I have not introduced myself.

I am originally from the DFW area, but have been in San Antonio for the last 10 years.

I have been shooting since I was about 9 or 10, but haven't been serious about it.

I recently have become very interested in a number of shooting topics.

I have a couple of handguns, and ARs, and have decided that I want to learn to reload as well. I shoot primarily for sport at mostly targets. I have a desire to become much more proficient with pistols, and carbines.

I will likely be reaching out for some advice on finding someone who is willing to help me down the reloading road until I feel like I have a good understanding.

    Welcome to TGT.

Buy a few reloading manuals and read them first. Lyman and ABCs of Reloading do a good job of teaching you almost everything you need to know to start. We can help after that.

    Gunz are icky.
    A few tips:
85% of the work in reloading is brass preparation.
    Motorize wherever you can.
Yes, its more expensive up front but you'll soon get tired of the tediousness of doing things by hand. Powered case trimmers are worth it.

Reloaders very often become pack-rats and hoarders. This requires room for "stuff".
You'll quickly be ordering 10,000 primers and 8lb jugs of powder.
Five gallon buckets of range pick up brass have to go somewhere.
Wives tend to get peeved about these things being left in the hallway.

    Welcome to your DOOM! Hahahaha.
