I own a S&W 629 .44 - took it on an elk hunt with me to Colorado last fall, and have only fired half a box of ammo thru it - I bought it "slightly used"

anyway - i've cleaned it once - loaded it and put it in a safe place in the living room

pulled it out last nite and noticed a green gunk on some of the brass - that was also coating on the cylinder and extractor

what am i doing wrong here?
