I swiped this off of a post on Yahoo. I wish that I had the smarts to have written it but it was not attributed. Anyone know the source of this? I'd like to read some more of it!

This isn't about our right to keep and bear arms. This is about government operating outside the rule of law. The U.S. Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals. It does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government. It is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government. The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, and if we do not tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution the second will become the legalized version of the first.

    Nice quote

We should all work on calling them appropriately "Constitutionally protected rights" and not "Constitutional rights."

There is no such thing as "Constitutional rights" because rights are not granted by the constitution; its merely a list of the few it specifically protects. Rights are granted by God. If someone wants to take my rights they need to square it with him first.

That's good stuff. Too bad that has already happened.
