Yes. I believe it's a 1961 Mercury Montclair. Thought it was an Impala at first.

More than likely. But it was available back then. My first ride in an air conditioned car was when my friends mom picked us up after school in her brand new '61 Olds. It was amazing.We all (at least I do) have fond memories of those cars but in reality they drove like boats and nowhere near as nice as modern cars. And probably no air conditioning.
