I have a 43x MOS and a brand new 48 MOS. The 43x is previously owned and the rear recoil lugs were shaved off and front lugs were lowered to accept a Holosun 507K without a stupid adapter plate.

I am going to do the exact same thing to my 48. I just need some guidance on what method. I'll put painters tape on the slide and lock it into a vise. If I use a dremel, what bit is best to do the job? I'll be taking my time. At the end, I'll be coating the exposed metal with some perma-blue. Thx in advance!

Geezer, when u remove the mos plate on the slide, u will see 4 lugs and the two screw holes. That is the rmsc footprint. Holosun 507k/407k are a rmsc footprint but don't have the raised lugs at the corners of the footprint. U either
    1. Buy am adapter plate makes the footprint flat or
    2. U grind down the rear lugs completely and shave down the front two about half way.
