I only served a short while from 1970 through 1981 in the USN. My wife served from 1974 through 1996. (Be careful if you marry an old Navy Chief Petty Officer) they know and have heard everything. Neither my wife nor I use the VA benefits we are entitled to. Reason being that I did very well for myself after leaving the service and have really great PPO insurance benefits for both of us. There are Veteran Brothers and Sisters that honestly NEED their benefits. And God Bless them. We. the missus and I are in great shape and consider it a blessing to be able to give back or pay forward to our Veteran Brothers and Sisters, rather than use up resources they need so badly. Just saying thanks to them a God Bless!
