Best gas if you can get it is the ethanol free gas. You can do a Google search of your area to find a retailer that carries it.
IF, you are pretty much forced to use ethanol gasoline, use the ethanol treatment for it. Several different brands of that are available at most auto parts stores, and WalMart.
If you have two-stroke equipment that requires pre-mix, the best option there is to buy the pre-mixed canned gasoline that is available at most lawn equipment dealers and even some auto parts stores. WalMart does carry it as well. Of you have to use gas from the station, use a treatment, and use the synthetic oils for pre-mix. Also, only mix at a time what you will use in about a week. Gasoline mixed with oil goes stale faster than unmixed gasoline. Again, if possible find a retailer that carries non-ethanol gasoline for your mixed gasoline.
The ethanol in the gasoline is bad, as it attracts any water, but, gasoline from a station also has lots of additives that are detrimental to small engines, especially two-stroke engines. Most vehicles, especially newer ones have much more complex fuel systems and computers, than the small engines used on lawn equipment.
