I've never seen or heard of a 17L without the slide cut. It was done along with a few areas inside to lighten the weight so they could us a 17 recoil spring.

The gen 5 34s don't have the slide cut.

I've owned both and both have cutouts. The 24's was a bit smaller.

Lone Wolf briefly made solid 19L slides. Maybe one of theirs?
