Brought this with me from Oregon. Its one I'd use up there to fish for steelhead (big ocean run rainbow trout), coho or chinook (king) salmon. Would make a great catfish rod, maybe light salt water (you probably would need to rinse the guides off after every trip) - typically would use this rod for float fishing - floating bait or a hair jig under a big bobber.
G Loomis rods are made in the USA in Woodland, Washington - this isn't some Chinesium or Korean-ium. These sell new for $320 - I'm asking half that - $160 local pickup, or $200 shipped (PVC has gotten stupid expensive and shipping a 5' length of PVC isn't cheap either)
Trades - would take a left handed Shimano Curado 201, Shimano Cardiff 201/301, Shimano Corvalus 301/401, would also consider other Loomis rods (bass rods)

SALMON SERIES SPINNING – G. Loomis US
Salmon can be found in rivers, holding in front of rocks, behind rocks, beside rocks, in depressions, above the riffle, below the riffle and, on occasion, in the riffle. They hug the bottom and they suspend. They stage up in tidewater, waiting for the rains to fill the rivers. Again' they hug...
