That statement reminds me of a friend I had who was a diabetic. He kept over eating and not exercising and he would just joke that he would just eat what he wanted and shoot up more insulin.
He went into a diabetic coma and died in 2014. He was 46

I know a guy who was diabetic, but got a pancreas transplant. Every time I see him he's drinking a milkshake or coke. I asked him if he's trying to kill this pancreas too, and he just shrugged.
