Fresh Freerange Duck Eggs [Round Rock]

I’ve got more eggs than I can eat so I’m selling some: $5 for half dozen, or $7 for a dozen

Duck eggs taste pretty much the same as chicken eggs, but they have a creamier texture and are higher in protein and vitamins. The laying ducks get most of their food from free ranging for bugs and worms, but I also feed them an all natural high protein livestock feed as well as fermented grains. Good food into the ducks means good eggs for you!

They lay as long as they aren't molting. Typically that's once in the fall and once in the spring, but domesticated ducks aren't really on a schedule like wild ducks are. I have one duck who hasn't started laying again after her molt. If she doesn't pick it up again soon then she'll be dinner one day.

Someone bought all the eggs I had on hand last night, but they are laying everyday. Let me know if you want some and I can start setting them aside for you and will let you know when your dozen is ready.

    What kind of laying ducks?

    I don't think I'd want any Merganser eggs...just kidding.

Muscovy or Mallard or ...Aflac...? (yeah, I know that's not the real name for that type duck...)

    Thanks!
