Yes Sir, I would definitely like some details. I am coming home for R&R mid march and would like to check out the place. Nice shooting by the way, maybe we can get together and put holes in some paper some time. Good Camera work
Here's their yahoo group. They've got three bermed-up 'bays', and a pole-barn garage/clubhouse. Oh, and there's hot coffee, cold sodas, and sausages and hot dogs for lunch. Pretty nice folks.
From Cove, just follow FM 116 south to Boy's Ranch Road - it's the first gate on the left. They graze cattle there, so watch your step as you're walking around the place.
I shoot idpa with alot of the guys from cove down here in temple they are a great bunch of guys there. Steve Jolly and Alan Coley have alot of info to offer beginner shooters, also temple gun club has idpa and is gonna start having the steel challenge league goin on.
More info on action pistol in Central Texas ( shamelessly stolen form the ARC forum )
"The TXIPSC list is an e-mail list covering the clubs and shooters in the Central Texas area (pretty much San Antonio to Waco, with some info on bigger matches further away). ALSPPC and several other IPSC clubs in the area post match announcements, updates and results there.
It's mostly IPSC, USPSA and Steel-Challenge-type match announcements (and cancellations; last-minute weather-related cancellations are often only posted via e-mail), match results, a little for-sale and things like that. Discussions and off-topic messages are discouraged, but the odd question like "how many slugs should I bring to the XYZ Shotgun Match?" are OK.
http://www.txipsc.net is the main page. There are links to sign up there as well as a map of local IPSC & IDPA clubs and match dates. Membership is free to all."
