well, it's been some time searching for a m&p i wanted, but none in stock.............went to 2nd option and ended up with m2 40smith 4.25" non-ported and core model. this will have a barrel change into a 357sig. now i will be within 1 s&w of my glock collection (6 vs 7).

a 22mag non-ported is loud inside a vehicle and i know because of not getting the barrel out of the window further. i can care less about those who are not a ported or brake users think. those who shoot snub 38spl's inside a vehicle aren't going to be happy either! i'm ok with settling on what i found and will make due. at least clay didn't bash the idea of ports. then again he's 1 of those creedmoor fans:laughing:

Excellent! I think you made a wise decision and the conversion barrel is a definite must have. I had a Sig 226 set up in 40smith and .357 Sig that I foolishly sold to pay for another gun I wanted. Regrets for sure. I hope you enjoy this quality Smith gun.

GT Distributors in Pflugerville used to have lightly used LEO trade-in Sig P226 in 40SW for $330-$340. Just get a few extra mags and the 357SIG conversion barrel and it's still relatively cheap.

Just sold my 226 .40 to a list member for 2-bennis It was fine and all, but I've sold off all but 2 of the .40s this year. The money did to towards another, more modern 226. :)
