Stated watching air gun videos on YouTube several months ago, and decided to order a cheap one last night! The gun, pump, and some cheap pellets were $300. It is a Beeman Underlever bull pup .22. For a cheap PCP, it has some good reviews. The house I’m renting temporarily, until my other house sells and I can get some land, has a huge backyard. I can comfortably and safely shoot over 30 yards. There is a company that makes a suppressor for it, but it’s out of stock right now, so I’m hoping even without it, it’s not too loud. Anyone have any experience with this rifle? I’m really hoping I didn’t just open a huge can of worms with PCP air rifles.

Any "range reports" on it yet? I'm thinking of taking the plunge into PCP, just because.
Actually, I was amazed at some of the groups these rifles will shoot.... 3/4" or less at 50 yards?
It's got me sort of fascinated right now....

With the right pellets it is dead accurate at 25-30 yards. Rifle itself is heavier than it looks, and louder than you would think. I live in the ‘burbs, but have a huge back yard. I put up some cinder blocks as a back stop and took a few shots to test some pellets. Every dog in 10 miles was barking after the first shot! Pumping it up is a workout. I don’t shoot it much, but if I did I would buy an electric pump and toss the hand pump. It’ll shoot a 22 grain pellet over 800 fps. Fun little plinker for sure. I will say I had some squirrels that were chewing on the soffit, trying to get in my attic I guess. Caught 3 of them trying. They gone!

From what I've read about them, most of them can be filled from a scba tank... sometimes you have to buy an adapter fitting, I think.
I'm curious how many times on average you can fill your gun from a tank.... I know it will vary by caliber, size of tank, pressure settings, etc... but is it 3 times, or more like 20 times? I've heard that's one of the most expensive ways to fill them, but this is only what I've read....

I've also located an airgun shop in the Dallas area... I plan to make a trek over there some day at lunch, and just soak it all in. The guy I talked to on the phone was extremely helpful and seemed to really want to encourage folks to get into the sport.... it's over in the Harry Hines area.... it will be a long lunch break. It's about a 40 min drive from where I work in Plano...

When I looked into it, it’s a lot like regular firearms. You can go cheap like me, or spend thousands on some really nice setups! Mines a .22 caliber, but they make some up to .50 cal, than can take down some pretty big game!
