    CPS operates inside the laws as they are written.

    Might be surprised to find that many of those doing the inspections are no happier about these situations than you or I. Also keeping in mind that it's nearly impossible to make laws to cover all situations without creating a mess that would allow kids to be taken from good homes as well.

    You're right. I wasn't trying to say they didn't for the most part. And in their defense, they do a job that shouldn't be needed and in a lot of cases takes a severe emotional toll on some workers. I was fortunate and for the most part had very fair hearings and some went well beyond what was required to help and see that my boys and I were treated fairly. The ex kept filing false reports which became evident quick.
    The laws concerning a situation like that sucks. The situation sucks.
    Hard to put in to words what I feel. I have great sympathy for the OP. I know the frustration he feels.
    My greatest concern is for the baby.
