It's not a stretch to say that economically, politically and possibly militarily China is probably a bigger threat right now than Russia ever was. The U.S. kept Russia in check until they bankrupted themselves. China, with the help of US politicians has pretended to be our friend and we have given them the power they have.
They are not and never have been our friend.
That has been a big mistake that has come back to bite us and will again.
The Chinese gov does nothing unless they think it gives them an advantage.
That article is not a big surprise.
