Did I read that right? He fired a nail gun at FBI, but had an AR-15 and body armor? Was it an AR-15 styled nail gun - maybe it was black and any gun that is black and used like this is an AR-15 by default. I haven't read the details of what happened, but he was fatally shot. Did he actually start using the rifle, or just had a nail gun?

It was a high powered, high capacity nail gun with extra nail clips and a thing that goes up. Probably battery powered so it would be concealable and capable of thousands of nails per second.
Even a 2x6 ain't safe around it. An ordinary 2x4 wouldn't stand a chance. Mere 1x4s and 1x2s would be shredded by it.

I thought Ruby Ridge and Waco were bad for the FBI, but Mar-a-lago is worse. Sad to say, but with the way the raid was performed, even IF they said they found incriminating evidence, most people are going to suspect the evidence is manufactured, planted or tampered with. Especially after they tampered with evidence to get FISA warrants to spy on Trump.
