    I loved this quote:

“I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them." - J.B Books in The Shootist 1976, directed by Don Siegel”

Ah, that’s the only one I haven’t seen.

    I heard it’s bad.

It's...well, it's entertaining. It sure as hell wasn't worth the lives of the cast and crew to cancer though. Filmed on a nuclear test range before they really understood the dangers of radiation poisoning. But it's worth a watch, right up there with the biopic where Chuck Connors played Geronimo.

My favorites by Marion Morrison are,

    Donovan's Reef (great Christmas movie)

    Big Jake

    The Shootist

Wish he could have done better on The Alamo, but from what I've read, the studio backing him wouldn't really let him do what he wanted. All he wanted to do was produce and direct it, didn't really want to actually appear in it, let alone star in it.

My uncle was a stuntman on that movie. He played several Texicans, including one or two of Crockett's men, and several Mexicans also. He got shot and blown up a lot.
