Experiance with the side gate henry?

Howdy folks! I was initially going to buy myself a JM stamp Marlin 336, yet now that Henry is making side loaders I am SUPER stoked to buy one. Even willing to pay the extra $400.

Has anyone bought one yet? Loading mechanism alright? Smooth action? The lack of a gate was the only thing stopping me from buying a Henry.
