Hello, and thanks for the very nice forum! Moved back from North Carolina recently and had to get up to speed with the LTC process. I've completed the online classroom instruction and handgun proficiency demonstration at the range, and have an appointment for photo and fingerprints with IdentoGO this week. What should I expect for lead time to receive my LTC? Thank you!

Mine took about 6 weeks from initial submission to the license in hand. I have a squeaky clean background. One thing I learned was submit first then upload the test results, etc.

    Update --
After waiting for 5 weeks I finally called the number posted on the DPS web site on October 3 just to verify they had everything and there were no issues with my application. The nice lady on the phone informed me they "Did not have my completed Training Certificate", and that I needed to upload it. I uploaded it the same day, and the next morning I received an e-mail from DPS informing me my training certificate was not valid because my LTC Instructor's license was not valid or expired. DPS also reached out to my instructor directly. It turns out he had transposed 2 numbers on his Instructor license when he signed my form. I had him resign a new form with the correct license number, and I resubmitted it last night.I got an acknowledgement that the form had been resubmitted - and reminding me that the 60 - 120 day window starts when all docs are submitted

This morning when I checked online I can see that all docs have been received and my passport photo and background check are under review, and the last line shows "Print pending completion of application review". I'm hoping I won't have to wait 60-120 more days for it to process, and wonder if anyone has any experience with a similar situation?

    Thanks again!
