Jeeze I'm a cheapskate and only tip $1 per beer served.

Back on topic though; thats still a solid 1-2 acres per person if I read things right. Probably double that in predicting poor weather, pests/rodents, learning curve, canning/preservation failure, and other gardening nonsense. I do have the goal she outlined; be able to feed 3 people on plants from the back yard. That just takes a lot of land, water, and effort put in to care for it all.

Mumbles “ carry the 1” as I write with a dull pencil on a coaster or napkin. People staring at me like I’m in the 3rd grade. Screw that. I pass the tip and signatory duties to Mrs Grumps. City of Houston though, you can double the sales tax and you are almost 15%. 14.5% to be exact.

Best to let the Mrs. do the tipping, so she won't think you are flirting with the young hot chick.

    I don't tip on tax...
Thus, for usual dinner outings/meals, I take the subtotal and divide it by 7... that's the tip value.

That approximation is very close to 15%.
If the bill is over $70, divide by 6.

If the service was great, round up; if mediocre at best, round down.
    DONE.
