I am fairly new to the area and am frustrated at finding a place to shoot. I have always been a member in nice gun clubs with great ranges. Fees were reasonable and we had organized competitions from social leagues to state level competitions.

Here I cannot even find a place to sight my AR in unless I buy some land somewhere or drive 50 miles and sign up in a waiting list for a club.

Have you seen this? It's a link button on the front page of this website.

I have seen that but fund no solution to my problem. The ranges close to me offer training. I was training soldiers and other shooters for a long time and just need a range.

I am in the process of buying a house and will probably buy a few acres somewhere in the sticks just to have a place to shoot.

Texasgunrange.com offers 100 yds for rifles and is open to the public. It’s off 287 between Midlothian and Mansfield.

Thanks guys! That looks promising and I will check them out but am still thinking about buying a few acres within 50 miles east of Dallas to use it as a gun range at a later time.
