Dustin Reininger legal problems - NJ sentenced him to prison without his presence

This is about as screwed up as can be. This guy needs us gun brothers to stand with him.

Isnt there a federal law that is supposed to protect you for transporting firearms when traveling from one place to another? And if so did his lawyer just not no about it or what?

I have to agree, the site is good, but it is only one side, and a bit too glowing. Their side just doesn't jive with the penalty he received. If that was all there was, I don't see how even NJ could have convicted him with that sentence, even with a 'court appointed' attorney. I would certainly want more information.

Fed law requires that the cases be locked during transport... That is how he got screwed from the news stories I have read.

Under no conditions should you travel through NY, NJ, MD, DC, MA, CT, etc., with a firearm.

Thanks for the link, that sheds some more light on it, and it does seem to be that he was 'railroaded', and was just moving his stuff.

This is the kind of thing that caused my Wife and I to plot her course to our Daughters house in WV based on gun laws, not necessarily the best route.
