    1) Is the proper term a "silencer" or is it a "suppressor"?

    2) When you attach the can, which way do you adjust the gas block, more pressure or less pressure back to the receiver?

    3) To what degree, if any, is accuracy negatively affected by the can?

    4) When a can gets dirty, does it just become less effective at suppressing the sound or does it become dangerous?

    1) Either is correct. Anal-retentives prefer suppressor.

    2) Have never had to adjust, but if you did, the suppressor adds resistance, so plan accordingly.

    3) POI can shift, sometimes measurably. Have never had a serious issue while hunting at 100 yards. Pigs just die more quietly.

    4) When they get dirty you clean them.

    1) Either is fine. Silencer or Firearm Muffler are the legal terms.
    2) Generally you retard gas flow.
    3) Generally no loss of accuracy. Maybe a different POI.
    4) Neither. now if it gets full of lead, that is different. But general dirtiness is not an issue.

    Everyone nailed it.

The legal term Silencer is a term that’s used by the batf. It’s just that a legal term and they think it’s a firearm.

Accuracy is the wrong word. The bullet tends to shift. I see this on my ruger American in 223. Very accurate rifle.

As for gas blocks just depends what it is. My cmmg mutant for example runs suppressed out of the box.

Correct name is Boom Stick Muffler;)

Your POI may change because the can will change your rifles harmonics.

Be careful. A silencer will make your gun so quiet you can sneak into a room and kill someone, and another guy in the room will be totally unaware. That's why they're regulated by the BATFE. The people watching the TV will hear a very quiet pew noise though.

Thankfully. Thank god the batf keep us safe. I mean we can’t be trusted so it’s important we pay to have accessories for guns. Let’s just make the tax stamp 400 dollars. No 1,000. We need to make sure folks in charge are able to put food on their table. Our overlords need to be healthy.

The thingie making the firearm quieter will allow you to fire in the neighborhood and no one will hear. Really I saw it on the TV.

If you get one for a .22 they get dirty and need cleaning, cuz .22 boolits are nasty.

Shoot in the dark. They won’t hear you or see you.
