    As tongue-in-cheek as I was, DC and PR getting statehood scares me for this reason.
    Not me. Neither is going to happen.

    I could write paragraphs about why that is or I could just post a video by people smarter than me. The video is easier. :)

    Executive summary - It's unconstitutional to make DC a state and the process for overcoming that obstacle is more than anyone could pull off. As for Puerto Rico, for lots of reasons (mostly financial and political) they don't really want to become a state. It's slightly more likely than DC but still not probable enough to worry about.

    There are many suits brought after any redistricting, no diff this time.
    DC could happen, SCOUTS can weasel out of any challenge. P.R. Pols want state for the $$, Dems want it for power. So far it's been voted down by the P.R. people several times, who knows? P.R. is way past broke now. They had pretty good GDP for a while but now it's a rat hole again.
