So,,,after decades of trying to CURE obesity, even to the point of passing laws,,,,,now the progressives are promoting it?
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Part of the left's oppression fetish - now fat people are supposed to be considered "normal" and "beautiful", even if their obesity is shortening their lives and leading to chronic medical conditions.

I can't define who is fat and who is obese nowadays, there used to be a difference. When you look around the ones who are meeting their recommended BMI is very minimal, everyone seems overweight. How often do we see a trim guy or woman in clothes looking the way we'd like to look? I say very seldom. My old days of being 150 lbs and 30-inch waist and jogging miles each day are way back there in dark ages, now 220 lbs and 38-inch waist. Not sure if I'm fat or obese at age 75, but will agree with the General it has not helped my chronic medical conditions. .

I've been overweight since my late 20s. It's been a gradual thing, but now at 51 (a good 100 pounds over my weight in my late 20s) I've reached the point where the weight is, indeed, causing medical conditions. And frankly, if I'm having health issues associated with my weight, that fat racist tub of lard has to be. Being fat is not something to "celebrate", it's something to improve upon in an effort to get healthy.
