It's a great way to get practice in a wide variety of things with just a 50rd box of ammo. Once you can maintain tight groups, increase speed and/or increase distance to put the pressure back on yourself.

I just bought some ammo and was thinking as close as I am to BOTW I should be shooting one box a week. Not 4-6 boxes at a time once every 6 weeks.

Doing these types of drills should help encourage the former.

It's a lot harder than it sounds. It's definitely a good way to quantify a wide variety of skills with limited ammo. You'll still need to train on the sections that you're struggling with. It is by no means a way to develop a skill set, but rather a way to maintain or judge improvement.

WRT training, I've found that long, high round sessions are a great way to ingrain bad habits. The biggest improvements in shooting for me have come from a focused effort on a particular skill and doing it perfectly fewer times till I master it. Then add on.

I wanna give this a try. Might be after deer season before I get around to it though.

The dots look smaller at 5 yards than I expected, lol.

Reloads are gonna suck on my single action revolvers.
Might as well go for it anyway.

Good Lord - I'd be worse than that as the dueling tree at Hicksville. I think I'll just watch.

    No work tomorrow.
    Forecast looks decent enough.
Need to work on the bobcat anyway.

    Why not.
