Hopefully the weather will cooperate, right now there's a 60% chance of scattered thunderstorms.

Here is the proposed timing and route...

We noticed on the map that they were planning to fly close to O.P. Schnabel park (but a bit east of it).
So we drove down to try there. The gates were closed and it looked shut up tight. So we went further east and thought we would be pretty much right on their track. But they flew even further east than the map showed, probably closer to I10? There were lots of folks out of their cars in the lot we stopped in, so we were not the only ones trying to get a look. At least we could HEAR them as they flew by, so that was good. Sorry I couldn't get y'all a closer look, but at least we saw them.
    Happy Memorial Day:

    To All,

The WWII planes flew RIGHT OVER my cottage in the AM & then about 1530 an A-10 WARTHOG (I would guess an ANG bird??) flew the same essential route from East to West over FSH, circled over the post & departed back to the East..
(The HOG was LOW & SLOW enough when he went over my cottage to RATTLE the windows.)

ImVho, the HOG is a HOSS for certain sure & when we were "in a BAD place, way down yonder" & up to our ears in trouble, it was said to be "It time to call for HOGS". = The HOG drivers never let us down.
(I was told, by someone who was supposed to know, that the A-10s were being flown by Louisiana Air National Guardsmen. = Those gents definitely KNEW what "down in the weeds" meant.)

Today, I felt like I had attended a PRIVATE AIR SHOW, put on "just for me". = COLOR ME PLEASED clear down to the ground.

    yours, satx

Don't feel bad. We drove down to Stinson and positioned ourselves at the end of the runway, expecting the flight to fly down the length of it before turning north towards SA. I was watching them on flightradar24 and saw they were coming up straight from the south and more towards the other end of the airport (near the museum). I have some GoPro video, but they're too far away to really distinguish the planes.

So we then went into the terminal and heard the CAF flight was delayed, but should be flying over Stinson within the hour. After 45 minutes they were still grounded at San Marcos, so we went home. Once we got back, I saw they had took off and were just north of SA. My son and I jumped in the car and headed towards IH-10 via 1604. Well, again we saw the B-25 and accompanying aircraft from a distance as we were about 3-4 minutes too late. As we saw they were heading down towards Lackland, we pointed ourselves towards downtown SA hoping to catch them when they flew over it; but once again we were 3-4 minutes too late as we saw the flight heading northeast just past the city as we were approaching the IH-10/35 interchange.

Honestly, the Lewis Air Legends flight was tighter, the CAF group was spread out. Still irritated that we essentially missed both, especially after having the Thunderbirds fly almost directly over our heads.

If there's any consolation, LAL did post this nice pic from the flight!

The added line was their actual flight path, and the red 'x' where we were standing expecting them to fly almost over our heads! :marine::marine::marine:
