What did you expect? It's a typical liberal media website with a bunch of idiot sheeple following everything they say to the letter. Yeah, we're nuts for wanting to give teachers and faculty a fighting chance to protect children from harm in the event someone storms the school. How effing stupid are people? They all talk this hype about how you can unleash hundred+ rounds a minute from these "Assault" weapons, but neglect to ever talk about how police response time is 5 up to 20 or 30 minutes depending on the place's location. So let's just say that it's the best case scenario and a cop just happens to be in the neighborhood and be there in 3 minutes. He gets out of his car, and hears gun fire. Even if the man is hellbent on entering the school without backup, he's going to need to come up with some sort of tactical plan, and be slow and careful with his movements in order to get in without being seen. Afterall he's not gonna do much saving if he's dead. Meanwhile the aggressor is continuing his attack until the officer can reach and engage...

OR we can have staff trained and qualified not only firearms, but crisis management, and have a half dozen or more sidearms drawn at the first sign of an incident, saving many many lives. But no, we're just a bunch of Southerners who don't care about anything except our guns, BBQ, and God.
