    My guess, that RV was loaded heavy behind the axels. That alone can initiate a nearly unrecoverable sway that compounds on itself until.....
    I was thinking the same…reminds me of this



    I was taught to do shit right. Load the trailer properly, do all maintenance, be responsible. Expect long life from your equipment.

    But the masses just load up and hope for the best. Have no idea about maintenance. Trade it in when it falls apart because you didn’t take care of your shit.

    A weight distributing hitch does only one thing. It helps ditribute tongue weight more evenly to the entire vehicle. To stop sway, you need an ant-sway mechanism. Totally different animal. And they are designed for wind sway. Not bad load distribution. If your load distribution is off slightly, they can help. But not cure it. If it is off very far, you are still screwed. Anti-sway bars were not designed or intended to fix stupidity or ignorance.
