I really don't do well with authoritarian orders...

Tomorrow is Easter. It is common for people of faith to meet outdoors “Sunrise Services” and it is also common for people of other persuasions to meet at parks. Anyone who will come and bring a sign referring to one of the Texas Bill of Rights that you believe is being violated, I’m thinking of going to Lake Cliff Park tomorrow morning and joining the Mockingbird. Haven’t determined the time yet. In the interests of showing we are prudent and not Petri dishes nor a leper colony, social distancing will be observed. This is not a Coronavirus deniers event, it is about the Constitutionality of the orders.

I’m pretty sure I tied up 4-5 Dallas PD officers watching my subversive activities and I know I made a few Code Compliance people mad.

For the record some of the officers (definitely not all) supported me and we had a pleasant chat and they told CC to leave me alone I think.

I'm to the point of "Give me liberty, or give me death". This has to end, or people will end it. We're already starting to see signs of a police state.
For any man here, please head this quote and take it in context. I have no bearing on the link below just to provide it for a quick read.

Patrick Henry gave this speech on March 23 1775. On April 19 1775 the events of Lexington and Concord took place.

When this man said "give me liberty or give me death" he meant that in literal terms. Please turn off the TV and spend the 10 minutes to read and contemplate this entire speech as in the time just weeks before the shot heard around the world v.s. today.

As for me, I have done the pilgrimage to battle road. These men gave up everything for us. I, myself, am not ready to give it away. My fields are freshly plowed and my powder is dry.

But are you taking vocal / visible steps to oppose things BEFORE using the powder? That's what Patrick Henry did - use his voice and his feet.

For now, mutual reassurance to each other that we're not alone with our respective opinions that this Nazi police state bullshit needs to stop.

For context, I grew up in Communist East Germany, and the first step to bring down the regime WAS building loose networks of people to reassure each other there, no, you're not alone and you're not crazy.

Personally I have "marched on the capitol" several times. Starting 10+ years ago when I was still in Minnesota. I have protested taxes, 2a issues and general encroacment issues. I have never protested in Washington. I have taught history, marksmanship and done my best to educate people to think for themselves.

I have a stack of unanswered phone calls and got emails back from our reps that were definitely read and answered by them (sarcasm).

I have served on boards and associations at the hyper local level.

I am not here to preach my accolades as I have not given or done near enough. I know plenty of folks that have tried at the local level only to be given their 2 minutes of peace and be removed. How much time can a guy get to address the state house now days. Will they even let you in?
