Interesting. Tried it, actually had less room in this instance. Interesting idea though.

Check measurements again. Should be able to fit a Warcomp with more than 1/2” and the stock has 5/8” of foam between it and the case.

Still need to clean it up but I’m happy. Used the filet knife I bought so not as clean as I would like but I’ll use a large razor blade and tidy it up.

Electric knife worked for me and a good sharp razor blade

I used the old “80s” electric carving knife, worked great on the Pelican foam.

A few places to clean up and I should have used a black sharpie, but it works. Still need to make some cuts by barrel and pistol grip to allow me to get a better grasp when retrieving it.
