CTIDPA 2-gun Carbine/Shotgun Match (January 29, 2011)

The match will be 5 stages (120 rounds carbine / 20 birdshot rounds shotgun) with shots ranging from 3 yds to 100 yds. The shooting divisions for equipment are as follows:
Carbines
Non-magnified Optics and Iron Sights Sub Divisions
1. Carbine: 5.45x39, 5.56 x 45 mm (.223) or larger caliber
2. Pistol Caliber Carbine: 9 x 19 mm or larger pistol caliber (including .30 carbine)
3. Rimfire Carbine: 17 HMR, 22 LR, (e.g. Ruger 10/22 or rifles with conversion kits)
Magnified Optics Sub Divisions
1. Carbine: 5.45x39, 5.56 x 45 mm (.223) or larger caliber
2. Pistol Caliber Carbine: 9 x 19 mm or larger pistol caliber (including .30 carbine)
3. Rimfire Carbine: 17 HMR, 22 LR, (e.g. Ruger 10/22 or rifles with conversion kits)
Shotguns*
1. Limited: Pump or semi-auto action in 12 or 20 gauge, tube fed
2. Open: Pump or semi-auto in 12 gauge or 20 gauge, box or tube fed
*For those who do not own a shotgun (or forget theirs the day of the match) loner shotguns will be available, but you must provide your own ammo.
The match details are: 4 Stages Carbine shots ranging from 3 yds to 100 yds AND 1 stage Shotgun with shots ranging from 3 yds to 20 yds. With the possibility of 1 Carbine stage with transition to shotgun.
The match starts at 10:00 AM (shooter sign in begins at 9:00).
The cost is $20 per shooter.

The match will be ran under modified IMGA rules. To simplify scoring 3 divisions will be used with sub-divisions.

1. Open
* Magnified optics carbines (multiple optics, bipods etc.)
* Box fed shotguns
2. Tactical Scope Division
* Magnified optics carbines
* Tube fed shotguns
3. Tactical Limited division
* Non-Magnified optics and iron sights carbines
* Tube fed shotguns
Sub divisions:

From Fort Worth take I-35W south to Alvarado.
Turn right (west) on Hwy 67 toward Cleburne.
Travel about 2 miles, then turn left (south) on CR 810 (Chevron station on the right).
CR 810 deadends into FM 3136. Turn right on FM 3136.
Travel about 1 mile; look for the JCSSA sign and gate on the right.
From Dallas take Hwy 67 south through Alvarado, toward Cleburne.
Pass under I-35W.
Travel about 2 miles, then turn left (south) on CR 810 (Chevron station on the right).

From Cleburne take Hwy 67 through Keene toward Alvarado.

Police Officer Jillian Smith was shot and killed after responding to an apartment for a report of a domestic dispute.
Officer Smith responded to take a report in regards to an earlier domestic dispute. The male subject had already left the apartment when she arrived at the location. Officer Smith was inside the apartment taking a report from the female victim when the male subject returned unexpectedly.
As the man opened fire Officer Smith positioned herself to shield the woman's 11-year-old daughter, saving the girl but receiving fatal gunshot wounds. The man then chased the woman to a bedroom where he murdered her before killing himself.
Officer Smith had served with the Arlington Police Department for 10 months and had finished her field training 15 days prior to her murder.
