    October is World Breast Cancer Prevention Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer. So many peoples lives have changed because of this horrible disease, and many loved ones have been taken from us far to early. Personally I have not had to deal with the pain and suffering that this disease has brought to many sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, grandparents, but that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t mean something to me. What I can do is show my support in making sure to bring awareness to the importance of early detection, and prevention of this tragic disease.:peace::peace:

    How much do you really know about breast cancer?

    Recently, the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) released the latest global cancer data, showing that in terms of cancer distribution types, the number of new cases of breast cancer reached 2.26 million in 2020, surpassing lung cancer (2.2 million) for the first time, becoming the "biggest cancer in the world".

    So what exactly is breast cancer?
    Breast cancer is a phenomenon in which breast epithelial cells proliferate out of control under the action of a variety of carcinogenic factors. The early stage of the disease often manifests as breast lumps, nipple discharge, axillary lymphadenopathy and other symptoms. In the late stage, cancer cells may metastasize to a distance, and multiple organ diseases may appear, which directly threaten the life of the patient.

    Who will most likely have it?
    Breast cancer can occur in both men and women, but it is more common in women.
    Growing older. As you age, your risk of breast cancer increases.
    Personal medical history of breast condition. If your breast biopsy finds lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS) or breast dysplasia, your risk of breast cancer increases.
    Personal history of breast cancer. If you have breast cancer on one breast, the risk of cancer on the other breast increases.
    Family history of breast cancer. If your mother, sister, or daughter is diagnosed with breast cancer, especially at a young age, your risk of breast cancer increases. Despite this, most people diagnosed with breast cancer do not have a family history of the disease.
    Genetic genes. Certain genetic mutations that increase the risk of breast cancer can be passed from parents to children. The most famous gene mutations are called BRCA1 and BRCA2. These genes will greatly increase your risk of breast cancer and other cancers, but they will not make cancer inevitable.
    Radiation exposure. If you have received chest radiation therapy as a child or youth, your risk of breast cancer will increase.
    Obesity. Obesity increases the risk of breast cancer.
    Period starts at a younger age. Menstruation before the age of 12 increases the risk of breast cancer.
    Having the first child late. Women who give birth to their first child after the age of 30 may have an increased risk of breast cancer.
    Have not been pregnant. Women who have never conceived have a higher risk of breast cancer than women who have been pregnant one or more times.
    Hormone therapy after menopause. Women who take hormone therapy drugs that combine estrogen and progesterone to treat the signs and symptoms of menopause have an increased risk of breast cancer. When women stop taking these drugs, the risk of breast cancer decreases.
    Drinking.
    (Which one did you fall in? :confused: :confused: )

    Is it treatable?
    People diagnosed with breast cancer at an early stage have a good chance for a cure. Treatment typically involves surgery to remove the breast tissue. Other treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy, may be recommended based on your particular situation.

    So what are the symptoms?
    A painless lump or thickening in your breast tissue;
    Changes to the skin covering your breast, such as dimpling, puckering, redness, or scaling;
    Changes to your nipple, such as redness or scaling, or a nipple that begins to turn inward;
    Discharge from your nipple;
    Please make an appointment with your doctor if you or your family have any persistent signs or symptoms. It's nothing to be ashamed of, you and your family's health matters the most.

    How about sugar and chemicals? Will you donate instead to anti-sugar, corn syrup, and Roundup organizations???
    The activation of insulin signaling pathway is believed to promote tumor growth and shorten the survival of breast cancer patients. Sugary drinks may increase the risk of insulin resistance and may also affect survival. However, the relationship between sugary or sweetened beverages and the survival of breast cancer patients is still unclear.

    However, once a breast cancer patient is diagnosed, the intake of sugar-sweetened beverages increases, which can cause serious damage to your body.
