I picked up a used Bersa Thunder 380 at a pawn shop on Friday for $150. Even new, these guns can be bought for around $200-225. Turns out, the magazine was no good so I bought a ProMag for it. I have never been a big fan of ProMag but that's all that I could find at the time.
My buddy and I shot it yesterday and it did pretty good. I shot the first magazine through it and he shot the second magazine through it. Here's the results from shooting offhand at 12 yards.

There was one FTF in each magazine but I'm pretty sure it's the magazine causing the problem because it was always the 4th round down. And, the magazine doesn't seem to fit the magazine well correctly, it's pretty loose. With a good magazine I think it will be a dependable little pistol. When I get some proper magazines I'll try it again.

CDNN has the Remington RM380 for $199.99 plus tax & shipping. Includes five (5) magazines.
These all metal pistols have been getting good reviews since Remington bought out Rohrbaugh five or six years ago.

Best gun for under $300 in my opinion is the Ruger Security 9. I have one. It runs flawlessly and is surprisingly accurate. I just wish it had night sights on it

One of the better deals out there right now for a quality gun, methinks

Been carrying a Bersa Thunder (when I carry a .380) for several years. 100% reliable. The Security Nine mentioned also is a great inexpensive handgun. I carry it most of the time, it replaced an RIA 1911 compact. Picked up a Spectrum about six weeks back, been too busy to test it. Bought it mostly as a holster pattern anyway, have gotten several requests for holsters for them. Seems pretty popular. Bought the gun for only about 3x what a Bluegun costs.
