    Yes sir, It is a Mark 1 Trench knife, WWI era. They were made very late in the war so a lot sat in government storehouses to be issued in WWII before the adoption of the M3 Trench Knife. :)

    Very nice! I’ve wanted one myself. I just have an M3 buried somewhere in one of the footlockers I own.

    M3's are getting to be pretty pricy now too, depending on condition and maker. Go dig it out, its like a treasure hunt!

    A knuckle duster and the knowledge of how to throw proper punches would be far more effective to ending a confrontation than an expandable baton.
    You do gain a few inches of reach with a baton though, but I think your probably right with a determined/charging attacker

    In a one on one I would prefer the reach for sure. I would also aim for the most convenient “red” zone. ;)
    Multiple threats would elicit a more kinetic response.
