Because of Dirty Harry etc a lot of people believe normal pistol calibers are stopped by windshields. FYI They aren't.

An idiot some years ago, stated that any caliber less than a 40 wouldn't go through a windshield of a vehicle.

To prove him wrong, I shot an old car down here at the farm with a 17HMR at about 50 yards and it went through the windshield and the back window.

17HMR is a long ways from a 40 caliber!
