So I get my Texas state DL on Friday, I plan on going to gey my first pistol later that day. I'm in San Antonio, any suggestions on places to go? I'm pretty open as far as what gun I'm going to buy, I want so many that its almost a non issue. I've been into firearms my whole life, particularly pistols, but couldn't get a permit where I lived previously.

I've seen a couple of interesting prospects here, but can't seem to DM anyone, or post on the classifieds just yet.
    This should help:

    I was thinking about picking up that J.A. nine simply because it would make a hillarious first pistol. I want a .357 wheel gun, either a sp 101 or a smith, A sig p320, and the cmmg ar9 counterpart. A 1911, a seecamp 380, a 22, a colt vest pocket in .25, a roughbar in 9, a bond arms/boberg bullpup 9, baby glock 45, fn 57, 500 mag... there isn't much I don't want.

I second getting the Desert Eagle 50.

And get the tactical holster too.
    I really thought............................

    Along with the Flying Cars...................

    We'd have PLASMA RIFLES, now....!?!?

    For handgun work?

I highly recommend getting the very best .22 that one can afford!

If shooter's interest tends toward the Semi Auto...One of the Ruger Mk Series will serve very well.

If leaning toward SA (Cowboy) Style, Ruger has you covered.

For DA Work, the S&W M 17/617 will teach you well!

    Good luck.

Honestly, you dont see them a lot anymore, but a pf9 checks a lot of boxes for me. 7 rounds of 9mm in a single stack, concealable, hammer fired, railed in suncompact to put a light on when it's in the night stand, light, there are a bunch of aftermarket parts.

At a minimum, you need a Glock and a 1911. No firearm collection is complete without.
