Next thing you know, the unpublished autobiography will reveal that Floyd had aspirations of feeding the hungry and housing the homeless in the trackless, untamed, wilds of Minneapolis. He was only involved in drugs as a mean to raise funds to help the less fortunate.

This shit has truly gotten crazy and out of control. Yeah, the guy was wrongfully killed but to essentially make him a saint and wipe out his wrong doings is ridiculous and utterly disrepectful to any of his possible victims. No matter what, he was a lowlife criminal pure and simple. That does not make it right that the cop killed him and the officer should get what he has coming but all this adoration of criminals, by BLM, just because they are black and were killed by a cop or other LEO, whether the killing was justified or not, needs to stop.

Oh boy. There's a lot more to it. I should have read the info at the link, because it's pretty clear there. So you guys know that crooked cop, Gerald Goines, and his goons who murdered the couple in their home in Houston a couple of years ago? And how it came out that he had a long history of setting people up and planting drugs on people (and bodies)? He's the one that arrested Floyd in the case that led to this conviction that they're trying to get pardoned. Small world, huh?

Came to post this. This crooked piece of shit cop should have 100% of any convictions he was involved with his entire career overturned and pardons issued for same.

Wrongdoing by a crooked LE officer, does not excuse all the other wrongdoings that Floyd committed outside of his involvement with Goines.

IMO, it doesn't raise him to level of sainthood by any measure.
Nope. But any arrest/conviction Goines was involved with should be overturned/pardoned. All of them.

I don't disagree with that at all. ANY cases involving Goines are suspect and should be treated as such. Proven that he falsified and set people up for crimes they didn't commit. Pardoning Floyd for any thing involving his interaction with Goines, I don't see a problem.

But Floyd also had a huge part in his own downfall without Goines being involved in his life. No one made Floyd do drugs. He did that all on his own.

Yeah, every case he was involved in needs to be tossed in the interest of justice. You can't trust any evidence he touched, any evidence or testimony related to anything he was involved in generating, anything at all. If his name was on the call or the case, it has to go.

Floyd did a fine job of padding his record even without that case.
