Just wondering if the AKM parts kit can be used to install the RPK barrel.
Regular 1mm stamped receiver and trunnion with the rear sight and gas block as well as the front sight?
    Furniture fit?

I have more than half a dozen parts kits I bought years ago and just wondered if anyone has used the longer barrel?

If I remember correctly the RPK barrel is a bit larger in diameter since it was designed for full rock and roll. Wish I still had my Romanian AES-10B RPK so I could Mic it for you.

    I bet @majormadmax would know.

In all seriousness, if you do go ahead with this project (which would be cool!), I would recommend using a bulged trunnion and Yugo 1.5mm receiver as the above builder did. It's gonna be one solid (i.e. heavy) AK!
