As we're talking brooms in handguns I thought I'd post about my old rifle project. Built this from one of those dog eared assemblies made when the great import of broomhandles in the 80s from china furnished a pile of guns and parts at very good prices. I drew up the modifications and took them to a great local machinist, wanted to do the bracket in bronze to give the gun some steampunk appeal. The scope is an East German Ziess from the 50s, beautiful glass, one of those 3 post sights. I'm right eye dominant so it seems strange to mount the scope on the right, but these stocks really work this way when you cheek them solidly. I also modified a spare bolt I had, extending the cocking grip to the left, so that you could hold the gun in your right hand and manipulate the bolt or charge ammo with your left. Fun gun to shoot, accurate and no recoil. FInished the stocks out in a dark stain to keep with the evil black rifle look, fit for Professor Moriarty or Sebastian Moran.
