Went in to the local gun shop and spied this beauty on their shelf. It was there a few days ago but I didn't ask about it, assuming that it would be "more than you can afford, pal". Luckily, the dude cut me a SCREAMING deal on it.

So here it is, my new (to me) Savage-Anschutz Match 64:

Whole rifle, I think the barrel is 26" or so. You can see the sight arrangement, adjustable diopter rear and target style front.

I'm considering doing some matches, at least to see how that works. It's a pretty serious rifle for someone like me, but at $550 I couldn't pass it up.

I just finished cleaning it and oiling it. I took the bolt down a bit and cleaned it, cleaned the little bit of fouling out of the bore and took the rifle out of the action to look over everything. I even oiled the adjusters a little on the diopter sight. The front and rear sights are so easy to remove and replace, I could keep a scope sighted in and swap them out any time.
