    so for rain water from the down spout off the garage, thats not been outlawed yet like CO did.
    CO has dropped the rainwater collection prohibition. I use a 210 gal tank because it fits in my pickup and the 1/2 ton can handle it when full (about 1700 pounds) for short hauls.

    May I suggest getting a non-permanent indoor storage system as well. While not helpful when the pipes are already frozen, I did use a WaterBOB during Snowmageddon thinking things were about to get really bad. Luckily my power did not go out, but I have several of these sitting on a shelf as a just in case things go tits up for a week or two. It stores about 100 gallons, which is more than enough to cook and drink. The WaterBOB is made in China, but there is one made in America called Aquapod that holds about the same amount. Both are fairy inexpensive as well.
