And stepping back even more further, before the American Indian tribes, are the people who are known as Clovis. Moreover, I understand there are findings revealing other people groups before the Clovis who are genetically different.

I don't guess any of them got reparations either.

I am part Sicilian Blackfoot. My mother’s Indian heritage is from the pacific northwest and father is from north coast of Sicily east of Palermo. Basically just canneloni eating Indians. I have sent letters to AOC and the rest of the Squad asking them to support my reparation in the amount of $3 million dollars to compensate for the grief of the Blackfoot being forcefully displaced by the colonists from the Great Lakes region to the bitter cold Rocky Mountains where it is virtually impossible to find a restaurant serving a decent spaghetti. Back in the 90s, a reporter for the WaPo who had been there correspondent in South Africa under De Klerk went back a few years after Mandela took over. His editorial started "I can't say it - I should not even think it - but there for the grace of God go I." He pointed out that South Africa had been relatively safe but, after the election, it was not long before Johannesburg became the carjacking capital of the world - on rising crime across the spectrum.

I have a real question for those still whinging about slavery - why don't they direct their efforts against slavery that exists today instead of railing against what happened over 150 years ago? Human trafficking continued in the U.S. after the war and after the Emancipation Proclamation - in black and white communities. It has expanded in the Hispanic and even into the Asian communities so it seems racist to me that the focus of the "anti-slavery" or "slavery reparations" is only on the blacks. Is that racism, a sign of their ignorance, or they just don't care?

And, while I am throwing stones, I will note that folks on both sides of the Mason-Dixon line called out the duplicity of the Northerners who were silent about the treatment of many workers - which in too many cases was nominally better than slaves in the south - while loudly decrying the plight of the slaves.
