As far as outlawing private sales of ammo, that is completely and utterly unenforceable.

Just like illicit drug sales? They may never get a handle on the drug trade but they certainly enforce the laws. Undercover agents purchasing ammo from guys like you or me might become the new government thing especially if we go full tilt socialist. As far as going full tilt socialist - it is already leaning that way. If it goes another year or two and if the demonkrats hold Congress, do not be surprised if it explodes in our faces like it did in Venezuela (the richest country in SA brought to its knees in a couple or few years by tyranny).

People throughout history have ignored such possibilities, like rapid change of more or less benign government to heinous tyranny, because they become complacent - then they see things explode before before their eyes almost overnight or so it seems because they had not been thinking it was already happending when tyranny first crept out of its hole and started to rear its head Such almost always results in many losing their lives because they thought it could never happen or refused to believe it was happening. I have spoken to survivors of the death camps, my childhood dentist was one (he took great pleasure in drilling cavities once my mother told him we were of German descent). I never realized why until I saw his tattoo one day, several numbers on his forearm. I worked with one as well, he was much oolder than me but was very young when in the camps. What they told me was that it happened fast and no one expected it even though if we look back now the writing was on the wall for several years. My mother-in-law, a pure bred German from Bavaria has some very scary memories of soldiers forcing Jews to march to & from the satellite camp in her town - Plattling. She too said one ever expected what came about to actually take place - but it did. Among other things, she saw good little Germans shooting down Jews because they could not keep up with the march; Jews who were skin and bone and who she and her family wanted to help but did not lift a finger out of fear.

With the scum we have in office now, who support groups like BLM & ANTIFA (black shirts not brown shirts but close enough), we are not all that far from the tipping point where the only way back to a Constitutional America will be open warfare. If that happens, even long before it goes full tilt, all the good like demonkrats currently in the ranks of LE will follow their leaders and we will be fucked, many RINOs will follow suit and so will others out of fear. Many in LE have already taken to their knees in support of BLM, and others look the other way as ANTIFA riots, but they readily investigate and go after those (conservatives & other Trump supporters) who rioted at the Capital. You seem to believe they will not at least try to enforce gun & ammo laws and that folks will not suffer because of that - I believe otherwise as I see wannabe tyrants trying to get history to repeat itself once again.

Truth is - it is happening already, America is turning into aMeriKa. Maybe some believe it cannot happen in the good old US of A but the truth is, giant steps were taken in that direction after Gerorge Floyd's death and have progressed much further than I think any of us could have ever imagined.

I think you're missing the point here cupcake. some of the main reasons for the ammo shortage, isnt because the big bad dems are hoarding it or keeping people from obtaining it. its because the facilities that produce the primer, required for mass production, havent been operating at full capacity because of COVID, and because big corps (remington and brownells to name a couple) are not distributing them to the public the way they normally would. and Im going to go out on a limb and think you dont believe me. dont bother responding if you cant prove me wrong.

There are several sources on this web site and elsewhere indicating they are producing at capacity. Demand is the sole issue here at this point and we have been thru this twice before. Covid may have influenced demand, but it was because people started buying the shit out of guns ammo and components.

Nobody said a word about the dems affecting supply resulting in price inflation. You made that up. Along with taking a shot at the producers selling at inflated costs and artificially lowering production.
