Federal firearm regulators will meet with gun industry representatives Friday to discuss weapons that can be made from parts purchased online, a signal the Biden administration may tackle the proliferation of weapons known as ghost guns.

Homemade ghost guns, which have grown in popularity in recent years, can’t be traced in criminal investigations because they lack serial numbers. Law-enforcement officials say they appeal to criminals because all the parts can be purchased online and assembled without a background check. Gun-rights advocates say that such concerns are overblown and that homemade firearms are the province of hobbyists.

Well, they are going to have to re-write the gun laws on the BATF books. Clearly states that a person can build for their own personal use any lawful weapon.

I'd also like to see what their "definition" is, of what they consider to be a "ghost gun". And then, back it up with how many of these so-called ghost guns are actually used in criminal acts, by people that are prohibited from owning or possessing a gun in the first place.

Once he signs an EO on the ghost guns, the ATF will send out SWAT teams to the homes of anyone who bought an extra barrel for their 1911 from Brownells. That will drop the crime rate by 500% once they can dummy up some numbers.

I merged these threads even though they're not exactly redundant. Why? Well, we're going to have a bunch of reasons to start new "They're going to take our guns!!!" threads. If we carefully comb the media, we could probably start 5 threads a day on this topic.

I'd like to keep as much of that content as possible in as few threads as possible so that we have one good, all-encompassing source of news. However, that's not a hard and fast rule.

Anyone with thoughts on how best to approach this is welcome to chime in. I'm listening.

Biden's dementia has progressed to a point that he may be pretty close to being a ghost. Maybe he can appear when Pelosi is having DTs and scare that old witch.

I think a lot of the ideas that Biden puppets (and I really think he's incapable of making a sandwich, let alone a policy decision at this point) are out there only to remind the Party Faithful (i.e., big Leftist contributors) that he's fronting the Socialist party that champions the ideals that they believe in. Kill off petroleum, shut down those evil pipelines (I still have trouble understanding their hatred of pipelines), build more railroads (similarly, I don't understand why they love railroads), take power away from those parents who show up at school board meetings or go to church or own a gun, TAX THE RICH (but not really), get rid of local police and replace them with a national police force (Hitler and Stalin both had those and it worked very well for maintaining control), etc., etc, etc.

So, driving in to work this morning there is a news story about how all "parts kits" have to have serial numbers because "ghost guns" kill everyone. What is a parts kit? Does it have to have a certain number of parts to qualify? What about single parts...spring? Pin? Cam?
Who is going to keep track of who has what numbers? Seems to me they will soon run out of numbers... what about parts already out there...is this going to be another "pre ban" / "post ban" thing? Will a "pre ban" BCG be more valuable than a "post ban"?
    Ugh..
