Idk why they are so much. Scheels in the Colony has new Mini 14 Ranchs and they are marked at $950. They have very reasonable prices on their firearms too but that is the cheapest price on a NIB one in a long time

I'm betting he'll put out an edict that hi cap stuff can't be manufactured or imported anymore and expect much the same on guns that use them. That combined with lifting any protection from manufacturers will enrich chosen law firms working for big cities, a core constituency. This will greatly diminish the gun industry in this country as those are among their best selling items.

My guess is that magazine producers will want to empty their warehouses before the inauguration. It may lead to some pretty sweet deals. Otherwise they may have to hold them for another 8 years...

There's been a run on ammo for the last year. You can still find mags for AR-15s and Glocks pretty easily for normal prices at places like Primary Arms.
