12 miles and change for my 0300ish ride this morning. Lotsa wind in my face the first half.

Radar was wrong about storms and lightning moving off.

Just a little over six miles, last 2 in blinding rain in my face. But enough miles to do this

Little over 10 miles this morning. Good time, not as much wind resistance.

Maybe I missed it, but what app are you using to track your rides?

Runkeeper. There is a free version. After using the free version for a week got an email knocking a bunch off the yearly price ( I think it came down to $35ish a year) worth it to me because it tracks a lot of other things and no ads.

I’ve watched your journey over time and it has been one of several things that have inspired me. 3 yrs ago I couldn’t walk 75 yards briskly without getting winded. 55 yrs old and overweight with COPD. Long story but 8 weeks ago I started my journey and toward the end of last week I made it to 30 minutes of brisk waking on a treadmill. I finally put my Fitbit back on (I stopped wearing it in disgust with myself for not working out) and this is exactly where I wanted to be. It’s AMAZING how much better I feel compared to 8 weeks ago. My lungs are getting stronger by the week. Still got lots of work to do but I’m committed. Thanks for sharing your journey. More times than not we control our own Health and my progress is proof.

Seems like every turn I took this morning had me riding into the wind. Had to work at it to keep the pace.:) can’t wait for this job to finish up so I can ride in Austin again. I prefer elevation to wind.

If you want to feel Spring Classics type wind, take FM60 to FM50 and go to Independence, you'll enjoy the bottom land down there, and there is a little elevation once you head back to 105...

Damn it is windy here in College Station. First 8 miles was averaging 18+ mph. Last 2 around 15 mph. Wind resistance is real, lol. Found the Post Oak Mall. About a mile and a half of parking lot driveway circling the mall. At 0300 it is empty and allows a good sprinting pace.
