Sorry to hear about the spasms, but glad your back onnthe bike. I used to get bad spasms all the time, but went to some physical therapy for a few weeks and it has been a non issue for the last few years.Had to curtail my riding due to back muscle spasm. Didn't ride for 4 days, back at it yesterday but only went 6 miles.
I had a muscle imbalance which would overwork one side and make it angry. A Medicine ball and asymmetrical push-ups was all it took for me. Well worth the price and effort.
